Which vehicles have a gasoline particulate filter (GPF)?
Gasoline engines with direct injection under Euro 6d regulations, mainly from 2018 onward. Brands such as Volkswagen, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Peugeot, Renault, and Toyota already include GPF as standard across much of their passenger car lineup.
When does the gasoline particulate filter need cleaning?
When the filter has built up ash and mineral deposits that automatic regeneration can no longer clear. Typically between 60,000 and 90,000 miles, though it depends on driving habits and usage patterns.
Is the GPF the same as a DPF or FAP?
No. DPF and FAP are diesel-engine filters. The GPF is their equivalent for direct injection gasoline engines. They work on the same principle, but the composition of the deposits differs. The Oxyhtech process is tailored to each filter type.
Do you also clean particulate filters for gasoline or LPG vehicles?
Yes. Our machines are compatible with gasoline particulate filter (GPF) cleaning and all other fuel types. They are also effective for LPG filter cleaning.
How long does a GPF cleaning take?
The average service time is approximately 2 hours, depending on the level of clogging and the specific filter being cleaned.
Is the detergent safe for the GPF and the environment?
